New iPhone not receiving phone calls,

Hello, I switched to at&t around 12:45 PST on July 13th.
i got the iPhone and the lady at the apple store said that i will receive phone calls on the iphone in about 6 hours, its been about 12 hours since the activation. whenever i get calls, it just goes to my old phone from t-mobile and it doesn't go on the iphone.
any tips or how to get the iPhone to get the calls?

my mistake i look on the date but it was after 12 and i thought it was like 10
so i mean JULY 13th:]

When I ported my number from Cingular, I was told that it could take up to 24 hours. Maybe with the load they've been having, it's taking a bit longer than expected. I would give it overnight, and if you're still having problems in the morning, give AT&T a call.

I switched from sprint, and i started receiving calls and texts on my new iphone 3g five minutes after exiting the apple store.

i receive text messages, i can make phone calls.
but when i call from the house phone it goes straight to my old phone, not the iphone.

That was actually a few years ago, but I doubt things have changed much.

i thought the iphone was kinda differant i mean its sim card is married to the phone.
i HOPE it works when i get up tomorrow.

Not sure if that really makes a difference. I imagine it relies mostly upon both carrier's systems and how they handle the transfer.
