Hey guys,
I'd like to know from people experiences if it sounds wiser monetarily to join a company before they receive the iphone. Bell & Telus are going to be new players in November and my question is basically;

Are they going to raise the data plan like crazy once they launch it? What was other people experiences with other companies?

I would say don't join before they get the iphone. The main reason being that they will most likely have a subsidized price for the iphone which is what you would want and if your already an existing customer, you won't get that. Wait until they get it and then switch over so you get the better price.

As far as data prices, that's another reason to wait and see. There's no way of knowing, but I wouldn't be surprised if a company charged more for iphone data then regular smart phone data.

Cheers! And I was wondering as well, is there a way to pass by the data plan, if I only want to use the iphone on wifi spots? Cause where I live the 3G won't be there when it will launch anyway... So, is it plausible to get the iphone without the data plan or are they forcing you to get it?

This is all up to the carrier and you will have to wait to find out. Again, my guess is that they will force some type of data plan with the iPhone, but there may be ways around it.
