I just got a 2g unlocked and jailbroken. LOVE IT.
Running it on T-Mobile. Life is good.

What's the email protocol...like when you delete on the iphone, will it delete from the server, so i won't see it again on my MBP?

I just came from a BB and it had an option to choose..."delete handheld and/or mailbox".

ALSO, If I delete on my MBP, will it still push/fetch to the iphone?

I have a few accounts...pop, imap, etc. Verizon, Gmail, and a personal website address.
Thanks in advance.

Joe

You need to set it up as IMAP and not POP to do what you want to do.

IMAP is the way you wanna go. If you read an email on your iPhone, then it shows that it's read on the actual server, and this include your MBP.

I'm pretty ignorant to what those mail settings are. I can just change my POP to imap on my phone somewhere?
I had the mail settings sync from my MBP. I have not manually done anything with mail on my phone.

BTW the Verizon.net is the POP.
That one says password is incorrect once and a while.

How do i change it?

Depends if the mail server supports IMAP.

What email service are you using?

I did a search on Google, and it looks like Verizon doesn't support IMAP. But I could be wrong...

When you login to Verizon email using your browser and go to settings, is there anything there that allows you to enable IMAP?

Not sure. I'll check.
Thanks.
