~ 1 mo old iPX. I noticed that the earpiece speaker stops working. Happens w/ calls, music, everything. A reboot fixes the issue, but only temporarily. I'm on the latest 11.2.5.

Is this common? Is this a software issue? Or a hardware one? Should I contact sprint for a replacement? Apple?

I have not. Googling reveals that issue has been ongoing since launch - could it be hardware?

I had a couple of earpiece outage making a call and receiving a call. A reset fixed it. I hope these are isolated events.

What I would do, is make a genius appointment with Apple if you have a store near you, have them assess or give their feedback to you, which they can issue a replacement iPhone and you can troubleshoot from there if it's iOS related or hardware.
