abt to get the new ipod nano for use with nike+, i learnt that the pedometer is included, but still am unclear what that means. do i still need that little dongle plugged into the connector or it'll just work with the chip in the shoes?

cheers!
andy

I believe you still would have to use the dongle with your shoes. The pedometer can tell you how many steps you've set, but I believe it doesn't natively work with the nike+ shoes.

To be sure, I would call or visit the apple store.

They also still sell them together. http://www.apple.com/ipod/nike/
The picture has the new ipod nano, if it wouldn't need the dongle, it wouldn't be there I suspect.

You need the adapter for the nano only the iphone and the touch have one built in.
