how is the battery life on the new Nano? i just got one and will be using it for the gym.

I currently use the shuffle which i leave in my bag and lasts a very long time but im guessing the screen will drain the battery and looks like it doesnt have an actual off button

Great question. I just bought my wife one so she can go to the gym and workout. I'll use my iPhone.

yea i cant use my phone at the gym haha, dont want to get it sweaty and id drop it. plus i use my ipod when im shootin hoops so it would be hard with a iphone.

CBillups1,

Since you just got the nano, you're still within the return period. You should call up the Apple Store (provided you bought it there) and mention that you heard about the new nano and lowered price ($20 less for the 8GB and $30 less for the 16GB).

At the very least, they should be able to refund you some cash. Otherwise, just return it and buy a new one.

Incidentally, the initial reports are the 6G and 7G nano's are exactly the same. A firmware update to the 6G will bring along all of the features of the new 7G. Apparently, there's no need for the Nike+ kit anymore ... although I'm still trying to figure this point out.
