iPod new ipod nano shuffle playlists

is it possible to shuffle a playlist? i only see the setting for albums and songs. on my iphone at the top it just says shuffle and you can shuffle a playlist. how can i do this on my nano. thanks. btw i have the shake to shuffle feature off becauase when i ride my bike with it it changes the songs.

you should be able to but I havnt really worked with the new ipod nano but that should be a pretty common setting

Check your settings. At least with my 3g Nano the shuffle setting was in the settings.

The best you can do is to start playing a track in the playlist, then keep pressing the center button until it brings up shuffle options (it appears underneath the album art of the track), use the click wheel to select the 'shuffle' icon, and press the center button again. At the moment that's really the only way to do it on the nano.
