New iPod touch wifi vs iPad wifi

Hi everyone

I just picked up a new itouch and I'm amazed at the wifi strength and range compared to my wifi iPad. Anyone else notice this? Any insight on the hardware or software difference causing this?

Might be a result of the different case material/design and a newer/different antenna.

It sucks for me too. It is fine if I am in the same room as my router. But as soon as I go to the other side of the house, I get 1 bar of wifi that continuously drops off. I don't have a problem in the same room with any other device.

I think it just has a really weak antenna.

My iPad gets better signal strength than my iPod touch and droid.

Mine doesn't either, it gets same range and strength as my iP4

Mine didn't get the memo either. Damn. I have a perfectly functioning iPad. I hate when that happens.
