I have a couple of questions/comments about the releasing of the new iPods
Why is it almost always in September?

Will the next gen (7th generation) have solid state drives (SSD)? If so, won't that drive the price up?

I use all 160Gb on my iPod, but i don't think most people do... If the sales of the 160 weren't good, will Apple opt for smaller memory?

I'd really like to know!!!!

I doubt there will ever be an iPod line-up without a drive at least equal to 160GB.

yeah but no one really knows...

The releases are in September/October, I would guess, primarily to get ready for the Christmas shopping season. In addition, Apple runs the Back to School (free iPod) promotion over the summer months, and that likely has at least some effect of pushing back releases of new iPods. The promotion serves, in a way, to clear out stock, I think.
