When is the next gen of iPods suspected to be released? I am currently storing my music on my iPad and iPhone. The music is split up due to storage restraints, so I would like to get an iPod to have everything all in one central location. I haven’t had an actual iPod in YEARS.

Currently my music library is at 22GB, and I am constantly growing it. Therefore, I would like to get a 64 GB something. I prefer not to get an iPod Touch because I feel that it is similar to the iPhone. I do not need apps and internet on the iPod. Just my music files and maybe (not required) a radio. Which device do you guys think will be a best fit for me?

A classic would be your best bet for your needs. The bad part is Apple pretty much abandoned it without making any updates in years. Not even software updates. They could at least clean up that.

agreed.

I agree if you don't want a touch then only the classic will fit your needs.
Unless you buy an iPod mini on ebay for about $30. and install a compact flash card of 64GB inside it. It isn't too hard to do.

Hmm buying a nano and installing a card would defiantly be a good idea to me since I really don't want an classic. Do you have instructions on how to do this? Also, do any gen. nano work? I like the 6th gen. with the clip since I do run a lot.

Actually the mod mentioned is for and iPod mini, which is like a small Classic. It came out before the nanos. There isn't any way to increase the storage on any of the nanos, unfortunately.
