the new iTunes will be called 7.3 this is what the spec's page of iPhone says:

"Headphones
Stereo earphones with built-in microphone
Frequency response: 20Hz to 20,000Hz
Impedance: 32 ohms
Mac system requirements
Mac computer with USB 2.0 port
Mac OS X v10.4.10 or later
iTunes 7.3 or later
"

itunes 7.3 needed, i think iTunes 7.3 will come out today!

I hope it'll get some new features. And hopefully they will let european customers buy films and tv shows soon!

You'd hope they'd release it before tomorrow. Talk about server crashes if everyone has to download the new itunes and osx before activation . . .

Yeah, I was thinking today or tomorrow at the very latest.

And I'm sure the iTunes servers may experience some difficulty or slowness during the activation process (much like the large influx of new iPod users navigating in iTunes last Christmas day).

They'll get some trouble with the servers... so what.

I think iTunes 8 will be space themed and will be all cover-flow with stars and planets, just as Leopard is a step into a Space-themed Operating System.

Anyway, iTunes 7.3 could be released any minute or second now and would be interesting to see what features it would have other than the iPhone support. iTunes 7.3 could also have a Karaoke setting where it makes Karaoke from songs. It would be nice to have.

Maybe some people who have good computer skills will find some new iPhone features in the new iTunes

Uh, I doubt it. Keep in mind, Apple current handles an amazing number of downloads per day already.

Quicktime
Safari (for Windows)
iTunes
Demo videos for iPhone
Gazillion videos and music on the iTunes store
iPod firmware

sorry, just trying to insert a little iHumor.

I would bet that they will offer iTunes 7.3 downloads today or tomorrow. I'm not sure if they still do it, but in the past for iPods they have included a CD to install iTunes with the hardware, so they may do that as well.

Maybe, but the new iPod's , i'm not sure about the ipod video, but the ipod nano's don't come with a cd, they come in a small thin plastic box without a cd.

And iTunes 7.3 got ringtones for your iPhone, but you have to buy them for .99 cents each  this is alot!

here in canada for a 20-25 sec clip..its

$4.00cnd for music plus another 50cents for download fee...its a rip off!

Here in Belgium it also cost's 4 euro but when you have already payed .99 cents for a song you would suspect too also use it as a ringtone, and i know the artist say that a ringtone is a public thing but still.
