I recently jailbroke my iPhone 5, and I was wondering what some of the best free apps/tweaks/themes are! I'm pretty new to this whole thing, so if you could post some of your personal favorites, that'd be much appreciated! Thanks!

1.Winterboard will be the most used part of the jailbreak for physical tweaks and changing the way it looks overall. This will allow many customizations just by ticking or moving something above the other. It works on a hierarchy type deal. Whatever is on top takes over what’s below the other tweaks.
2. Last App does just as the name implies. You can set it to open the last app through activator.
3. Activator is where the user sets certain buttons to perform specific task. For example, with last app I can set the last app to open by hitting the home or sleep button.
4. SBSettings is probably the app or tweak I use more than any other. You can turn Bluetooth on/off. Respring or power off the idevice. You can add other toggles to this by installing other tweaks from Cydia as well.
5. Tab + allows more than nine tabs to be open inside safari. With this installed you have an unlimited amount of tabs. Its at the users discretion with this app installed.
6. BytaFont allows the font to be changed to whatever you like. Other fonts can be downloaded and applied inside bytafont.
7. Bosspaper can change the wallpaper and set it to change when apps open, or each respring, or a time interval can be applied.
8. Cydelete allows the user to delete Cydia apps directly from the springboard. Simply hold an icon down until it starts jiggling and a small (x) will attach to the app. Tap the (x) and the application will be deleted after confirmation.
9. SplitMail for iPad enables using the split dual-view in portrait orientation.
10. FaceBreak – Enable FaceTime over 3G with FaceBreak!(Use Facetime Anywhere)
11. LiveClock – Animated Clock icon on homescreen
12. Lock info : customize you lock screen as you wish
13. iSH**** : Save your shsh blobs right from your device
14. Backgrounder – Enable and manage backgrounding as apple multitasking
15. Fast Copy – removes copy/paste menu choice delay
16. AlarmDisplay – Add a badge to your Clock.app with how many active alarms, total alarms set
17. Double @ -puts password or email in blanks by simply double tapping @.
18. Fake operator-Spoof your operator on IOS without editing or respring.
19. Fake Carrier – Change Carrier name to whatever you wish.
20. Speed for Maps- put mph speed in google maps.
21. Compass for Maps – Puts direction in Google Maps.
22. OpenNotifier- customize status bar by adding alerts for miss calls, sms, email, and more. Add badges to non-badge pushing apps.
23. OpenSSH – secure remote access between machines.
24. MxTube- Download youtube videos directly to your device.

I also forgot to mention that this is a list of all compatible tweaks.

Yes, way to welcome a new JBer to the community. Go ahead and post in the other threads that are titled "iOS 6.1.1" then the OP states "evasi0n 1.3 works for it".

There are alot of things that have suggested tweaks/apps.

Adblocker - self expanitory
BiteSMS - alternate to iMessage which has Quick Reply.
Zephyr - awesome gesture tweak, swipe up to hide apps, swipe left/right to change apps
NCSettings / SBSettings - easy way to access important settings (bluetooth, airplane mode, etc)
LockInfo 5 / IntelliScreen X - makes your lock screen more useful.
Springtomize - one of the best tweaks out.
FolderEnhancer / Infinifolders - unlimited apps in a folder.
Callbar - Just a phone tweak, check it out.
Auxo - awesome multitasking replacement, you don't need NCSettings or SBSettings if you use this.

@Demonface: Wow, thanks so much for the helpful list! It's much appreciated!
