So, I'll be receiving a few old Macs (a few PM and iMac G4s) in January, as a local company upgrades. I have found little to support this hackintosh idea, but I would love to throw a Mac Mini into the dome of an iMac G4. I've done the measurements and it fits, I know that. The issue would mainly be how to pull it all off. The display is my real issue here, as I'm fairly sure that the original won't be cooperative with me (no DVI or VGA connector on it's end), so I'd have to fit one into the display housing and hook it up. I'd also like to get it a new optical drive (tray), and fit a 3.5" HD in there if possible. I'd greatly appreciate it if you all could give me any advice or point me towards some parts I could use. I'll post pics when I'm done
. I'd just really love to see a modern iMac G4 (they were such wonderful machines), so what do you guys think?
