I know there is only speculation of what the new air will have for specs, but is there any chance that it will have enough umph to do video editing like the pro? I am looking at getting a new mac laptop and didn't know if I should consider the new air when it comes out.

It's definitely not going to be as powerful as any of the pros, but it would be competent enough to do editing. If you are looking at it for a main machine for editing, I think you would probably see better results with a Pro.
it'll be fine for editing. just a bit slower.
