New Mac Book Pro 8600 kexts

Hey guys,

I was hoping one of you with the new mbp with the nvidia 8600 could help me out.

I want to take my 8800 out of my pc and put it in my mac pro. I am hoping the new 8600 drivers that come on the mbp will work for it with titan. The program the pc users are using to make their video cards work on hacked copies of osx.

Anyway if one of you can get them for me they would be under /system/library/extensions and it would be anything with nv in or or named nvidia.

I wasn't even AWARE you could take a PC desktop video card and put it into a Laptop, much less an apple laptop. Did I miss something here?

They're going to try to use the kernel extensions for the 8600M in an attempt to get an 8800 to work in a Mac Pro.

lol im not putting it in a laptop... im putting it in my mac pro. i just need the new drivers to support the 8 series cards that come on the mac book pro... at the worst it wont work and ill just put the old card back in.

I have the same aim as the OP, so if anyone with a shiny new MPB could take 2 mins to post/upload those kexts, I'd also be extremely grateful!

They would be under /system/library/extensions and are named something like:

GeForce.kext
NVDANV10Hal.kext
NVDANV20Hal.kext
NVDANV30Hal.kext
NVDANV40Hal.kext
NVDANV50Hal.kext

(basically anything that looks like Geforce or Nvidia)

Please get in touch with me (PM) if you have 10 minutes to help us with this (ie. send a couple of files). Tons of people have Geforce 8x00s lying around and would hopefully benefit from this.
