I just bought a used 2020 27" imac 3.1 with catalina. When it arrived it was crashing and restarting about twice a day. I bought some new memory (8x4) and installed it. The crash/restarts seemed to stop for 48 hours but then I just got another one. It is such a pain to have to return it but can someone look at the crash report and let me know if there is anything indicating if it is a hardware problem or not? If not a hardware problem I really don't want to deal with the hassle of a return. Thanks so much - here is the crash report.

While you’re waiting for someone to sift through that data maybe you could do a clean installation of a new OS:

if it is software that should fix it.

I would also take out the additional memory as that may well be the cause. Run it for a couple of days with the memory it came with to see if that is the source of the problem.

Check you memory booting from a thumb drive with Memtest86. Memory issues as such are rare, but this really is a useful piece of software when you have unusual problems. I just used the free version.

This way you're not removing memory needlessly instead of testing that you just bought.

Looks to me like you may have a hardware problem with your CPU which caused the kernel panic. Your best bet is to bring your Mac which you had bought used and have them resolve it or bring it to the Apple store if you still have warranty on the unit bought as a refurbished unit.

Thanks so much! If it looks to be a cpu issue then returning it is my best bet despite the inconvenience. I really appreciate the help and advice! Thanks to everyone who replied - very much appreciate the assistance!
