New Mac Mini OK as media center?

Everyone knows the complains with the old Mini. But will the updated Mini (still with the sub par graphics) work as media center? I'd like to connect a mini to my receiver and HD TV and use the Mini for pretty much everything - iTunes, iPhoto, DVDs, downloaded movies, DVR, etc.

New mini = Old Mini + Core 2

I guess it's still the same old mini we complained about then.

I keep my ATVs hooked up via ethernet, but doesn't the Mac Mini only come with 802.11G? Not good if you are planning to feed it wirelessly. Also, it won't stream like an ATV which is now how I always use mine. No need for a big drive ATV here.
