New Mac mini via he store and AppleCare

I ordered my mini via the nus extra HE store and didn't select the uplift package for apple care.

I am confused as to what I am covered for and whether I should/could still purchase the uplift package.

Can anyone advise me on this?

On a separate note, I am really happy with my mini despite some initial niggles. And 2 instances of the blank screen/snow issue. I have since swapped to tb>dvi and the colours are so much better. Hope that sorts the problem until a fix is released.

You have the full year of warranty to buy the Apple Care. I waited 11 months and then bought it for my Mac Pro.

At least that's how it works in the USA. I assume the same is true for the UK, or perhaps they are even more generous due to favorable European consumer laws.
