Hi,

I've changed my 24" iMac by a cinema display and a Mac Mini 2.0 - I'm very happy with the set up. The Mac Mini performs really well.

I'm a webdesigner, and I need to check how my sites look on PCs and Macs. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how Parallel runs on a Mac Mini 2.0 with 2 GB of memory? Am i OK to install Vista or should I go for XP?

I am running XP with Parallels on my Mini 2Ghz/2GB and it works fine.

I don't know about Vista though.

Yeah, if all you really need is access to the latest versions of all the Windows browsers I'd probably stick to XP and not bother with Vista. Less bugs, possible driver issues, and no doubt XP isn't as much of a performance hog as Vista either - particularly in a parallels environment.

I don't know about Vista, but XP Pro SP1 works just fine on my 1.66 gHz Core Duo. I suspect Vista would run just fine on a C2D with 2 gigs of RAM.

Dude, if you are allowing XP to see the internet, you better upgrade to SP2 with the latest updates.

Thank god I got rid of my XP installation...I downloaded every app for it on OSX and transferred it over (before that was easy) with a USB stick...OSX is just so safe :)
