And couldnt be happier!!

Picked up my MBP 17" 2.33 C2D a few weeks ago.. a great little machine!! i was slightly dissapointed at first with the photoshop speeds but after switching all my work over to this computer it blows me away how much it can handle!! i havent been able to slow it down with 10 100+mb psds, dreamweaver flash and a few other apps open!!

I use a logitech G5 cord laser mouse.. i bought a wireless mighty mouse but i found it jumped around too much on me, as a webdesigner that would have driven me absolutely insane.. it kinda scared me off of buying the corded mighty mouse so i just stuck with what i know :)

Only thing im having trouble getting used to and figuring out is iTunes.. i copy over mp3's onto my mac.. and then when i open them in itunes it somehow duplicates itself so i had doubles of everyone of my mp3's in the itunes library..

Ill post setup pics soon :D but you've all seen MBP's before hehe

Congrats on the Mac and welcome to MacRumors. Wait till CS3 comes out. Photoshop will fly. Or you could give the Photoshop CS3 Beta a try. You need a valid CS2 serial to get a BETA serial from Adobe.

Good to hear things are going well for you. I'm hoping you're using the CS3 beta—CS2 is not Intel-native and so is running in Rosetta emulation mode. CS3 is a Universal Binary which means it's compiled for the new Intel chips and runs "natively..." Translation: it's much faster on the same hardware than CS2.

iTunes is a jukebox app, so when you import files it copies them to its own directory structure and keeps them organized based on the information in their tags—I think this is its best feature. Once you've added things to the library, you can delete the files that are living elsewhere. I'd recommend importing directly from your source. Use File > Add to Library... and just browse to the music you want to add (over the network, or on an external drive, or whatever).

If you open iTunes, and go into iTunes->Preferences...->Advanced, uncheck "Copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library", and you should be all set.

Edit: or, as killmoms mentioned, just let it copy them, then delete the originals.

Welcome to the club! :)
