I like what I see with the New Mac Pro, so the future looks like I will be upgrading to it once it is released.

My question is about my displays, I have a Dell U2711 and a U2312.
I believe I can hook up the U2711 to the new mac pros hdmi/display port since the U2711 has a display port connection, currently I have it hooked up with DVI. For the U2312 I would hook it up to a thunderbolt port with my mini-display port adaptor. Would this be the correct way to set up my current monitors to the new Mac Pro.

Any input would be great, Thanks.

For the U2711 get a Mini Displayport to Displayport because you have that option and because the display uses Dual Link DVI and not the Standard DVI so you could use a normal adapter and just a standard Mini Displayport to DVI for the 23".

Thanks for the feed back guys.

Its sounds like I should go mini display port to display port for the 27" and keep the mini display port adaptor for the 23".

Is the hdmi/display port not as good as using a thunderbolt port?
