So we've got a lovely new Mac Pro with a Thunderbolt enabled display. Brilliant stuff, can have the USB keyboard and mouse plugged in to the monitor, only the one Thunderbolt cable going from the monitor to the little grey bin.

Unfortunately this somehow means that it takes AGES for the mouse and keyboard to register, so the Mac sits at the login screen for a good five minutes + searching for a Bluetooth keyboard and/or mouse.

We've turned Bluetooth off in System Preferences, but I guess that doesn't apply until the user is logged in. Is there a way to stop it searching for Bluetooth input devices at the login screen? I've had a look around the Preferences but can't find anything that might be the right option.
