Hi Guys
I just picked up a nMP and i'm having issues with the display settings.
It's connected to a Samsung 4k Curved TV and for some reason i don't see any options for scaling or underscale/overscale. I managed to hold option during the display settings and it gives me a list of odd resolutions. Ideally i'd like 1080p 60Hz with underscalling of the UI. The corners of the screen shoot way off to the side.

I had a Mac Mini plugged into the same display and did 1080p 60 With underscoring so i can properly adjust the screen to fit. Now i don't have that option? I'm on Yosemite.

If anyone can help, that'd be great. Thanks!

Is there any relative setting on the TV?

I never own a Samsung TV, but both my Philips Full HD TV and LG 4K TV has option to calibrate for PC signal and make sure it fit the screen.

Yea i mean i can fit to screen on the TV. but since the nMP doesn't support 4k@60Hz I don't want to use 4k. I'd prefer to use 1920x1080/60. I know switchresx does this but it looks like crap on the TV and the colors are horrid. I had a mac mini which did 1920x1080/60 on the same tv and it looked amazing with samsungs 4k upscalling. That's ideally what i want.

Would a MDP -> Hdmi 2.0 help? It's outputting i believe in full 4k not UHD. The resolutions its giving me in scaling option in displays are no where close to right. They look like they belong to a full 4k monitor not an UHD tv. I have

1920x1012
2048x1080

Which is just throwing me off..

Oh, I got what you mean now, sorry for my poor English :p

I didn't own the nMP, but in the cMP with HD7950, the 1080 HiDPI option in Mavericks seems gone in Yosemite. I guess you really need some 3rd party apps to do that. And sorry, I can't give you any suggestion on this.

Anyway, the normal 1920x1080 (60Hz) should be there.

No Problem. I think i'm gonna be downgrading to mavericks at this point. I'm very dissapointed in Yosemite removing the underscalling and the 1080p HiDPI option. I'm glad i'm not the only one noticing this.

It's a fresh Mac Pro so i'm gonna format to Mavericks and see what my options are. Mavericks with 1080p is looking mighty fine right now.
