The update is terrible, I agree. But whining about a wait for a year and a half is just ridiculous. I needed a new Mac Pro a year and a half ago, and I bought it. It's still a very powerful computer, and with upgrades I'll make it last for at least 3-4 more years. At least.

At least Apple could have put a 6 core in the entry model....correct me if I´m wrong but it is still west mere CPU´s...they came 2009.

All the speculating that we did for the past year or so on thunderbolt, sata3, pci3 and usb3 built up all these expectations, and apple surprised us with a fist in the butthole!

I'm going to wait until the new iMacs and get that instead. Upgrade sooner. OR get the new MacBook Pros and use that as my main machine.

It really pisses me off that Apple thinks they can get away with selling this as the new mac pro. I hope some unsuspecting people don't fall for this. This is really really cruel and unusual punishment.
