I got the chance to try it. I'm really impressed. The GUI is intuitive if you're a Photoshop user. It has pretty complete toolkit and works really well (snappier than PS and it's in beta). Where pixelmator was a fun toy, I feel Affinity Photo could replace Photoshop for lots of people.

DL'd it and at first pass it seems pretty slick. Super responsive on my 2010 MP. But need to do some more challenging tests over the weekend.

Man, I got to say I LOVE these small startup efforts to cover the gaps left by Apple and provide big-A some competition!

Affinity Folks -- take notice of the huge hole left by Aperture please -- I'd happily pay what you plan to charge for Affinity X2 for an Aperturesque DMG app with Affinity's tools.
