New MacBook Air USB ball bearings

I had a quick look of the new MacBook Air at the apple store today, the USB ports looked a little different. Are those the new ball bearing USB ports that apple has designed.

What do you mean? Never heard about that before...

I just had a quick look at the new air , then I looked at the 15" pro on the other table.

The new air looks like it has 4 little metal balls in the USB port to keep the wire in place. It just looked different.

I'm sure someone with the new air could let me know

Inside the usb ports are little ball bearings... have a look. very dinky. Probably stop wobblage...

(wobblage is a word, cos I say so)

I thought I read that apple was making a new design, to make smaller devices but I was think of the wrong device.

I see what you mean, they are just there to hold the usb devices in. see below for the usual way...
