New Macbook Battery Life

Hey folks - hopefully a quick and easy question.

Are there any special steps to follow when receiving a new Macbook that you are supposed to follow to fully charge the battery for the first time, or does the battery already come fully charged and you are ready to go right away?

I'm getting on a plane within hours of getting the Macbook and I know I won't have the time to go through x number of full charge and discharge cycles prior to trying to use it during the 5+ hour flight. Once I'm in the hotel at the other end, I don't care - I can charge it overnight and use it only when plugged into an outlet, but I was hoping to escape boredom.

you should calibrate it....but i never did, and I don't see a huge difference...

Gotcha - so the battery is likely not fully charged when shipped and requires one full charge (pause) / discharge (pause) cycle.
