I purchased the Macbook yesterday since I didn't want to buy that overpriced piece of Air. Then I notice after a bit of use, I notice some areas have faint white lines that looks like scratches but I can't seem to smudge them away. Just want to know if that is normal for a white Macbook or not. Can these be removable? Now I notice my palm rest area near the edges have some bright spots that seem to be brighter than the rest of the paint when light is shined upon. Normal?

Thanks!

if you're talking about the light scrachy lines on the plastic that's normal. my white macbook is also like that. just wear and tear... but it came with no scratches when it's sparkling new though. there's also some light scratches on the palm rest as well.

Well I'm not that fussy over that scratch line that I think it came with, but I didn't notice that until I used it for about 3 hours intensively, so I guess I scratched it already. This thing sure scratches easily :(
