Hey all, just curious, but would the new MacBook run Final Cut?
I have heard that the Mac minis do actually run Final Cut, but cannot run Motion..
Since the MB and the Mac mini are close to same specs, does that mean the MB will run Final Cut too?

My 1ghz eMac runs FCP and LiveType. not sure about motion.
So yeah, the Macbook will surely run FCP.

Yep LiveType, Soundtrack and Final Cut, Compressor and DVDStudio Pro 4 will all run no problems. You may have to apply the install hack (not sure havent changed my discs to the intel versions yet)

Motion will be the only one that will kick you in the nuts, but it may be installable with the hack. - Not sure how it would peform though.

If your not using Motion, then all the other final cut studio apps should work great.

I don't understand why it wouldn't, they are just as fast as the MacBook Pro's a few months ago. The only thing that would hold it back would be Motion. It would be dumb on Apple's part to not let you install Final Cut Studio (Universal Version).

I'm Confused

What part of not supported means that it is supported?

I even had an Apple Genius tell me it would work but Apple is saying no. That being said I installed FCP 5.1 on a G4 mini and it works faily well. So what gives has anyone tried it. I was going to pick up my Macbook tomorrow and this is the first I'm hearing about this possible issue.
