Hi,

So a couple of hours ago I got my new 13 inch retina MBP (with SSD) and switched it on to just have a quick fiddle before having to dash out. Very nice I thought. I checked the App Store app and it told me there were a few updates, one of those being a software update for OSX/security/firmware/iphoto/etc. I clicked update all, but was told that for the OSX/firmware update I would need to be plugged into the mains.

Since I hadn't yet unpacked that, I clicked cancel.

I have now got back in, connected the MBP up to the mains, and opened the AppStore app, clicked the Updates area, and I can now only see the iPhoto update. For some reason the OSX update has disappeared. It's not installed, but the App Store can't seem to find it.

So, can anyone help me with this? It's not a great introduction to a brand new laptop that within 10 minutes of usage I'm having to search for an answer to a problem...

Thanks

:apple: > Software Update. Shouldn't be in the App Store.

Yes that's exactly how I'm trying to do the software update and it then loads the "AppStore" app to check for updates...

As I said, it then fails to find the system updates now but just iPhoto. I'm still running 10.8.1 though so there should be something more...
