Hi,

As mentioned in the title, my MBP 14" has crashed and rebooted twice while playing games and having firefox tabs open. What could be the problem?

Thanks

How new is it, or did you get AC+? If your Mac has AC or is within 90-days, call Apple and have them take a look at it.
2 weeks old? I figured it out. SC: Brood Wars isn't compatible or optimized for M1/M2 Macs.

Regardless, it shouldn't reboot. User-mode software should not be able to kill the underlying OS. Report it as a bug.
Should I be contacting Apple or get a new unit?
It's a common issue.

Low hanging fruit, wipe and reinstall macOS.

Personally, if it was me, on a brand new MBP, I'd take it back to apple and get it exchanged.

Looks like common issue, but did anyone of those posting in the linked thread get it working by replacing their machine with the new one? At the end, some seemed to talk about latest Monterey working and Apple did make some update to support it, but that post was from the last year, so something could have changed again Also there seemed to be some steps to install it maybe helping. For a piece of mind replacement machine would confirm which it is but likely a lot of work if you end up with the same and need to enter machine lottery (assuming your current one is perfect in every other way). Any possibility to try that game on another MacBook to see if it works there (friend or shop demo unit)?

It is. Apple support told me to reinstall the Battlet.net client and download it on Safari.

It crashed for the third time. Do I just assume it's the app? Or do I need to replace this MBP?
TIA
