I have unboxed my 2019 mbp and noticed tiny dents and schrathes on 2 usb c ports. Has anyone noticed sth like this and Is this normal because of aliminum manufacturing process?

By the way the battery cycle is 1 so i believe it has not been used by someone before

I recently got a 2019 and out of the box there was noticeable scuffing on the top lid. I decided not to do anything about it because I'm not close to the place I bought it and I figured I might go through all that hassle only to find a similar artifact on the next one. I guess if I were in the habit of selling laptops after a couple of years I might have returned it, but as it is I keep them for a long time (this one replaced my early 2011). However, a dent sounds more serious than a scuff or scratch.

Not ok. Apple charges premium for their stuff, we should expect flawless products.

That said, I had the tiniest of imperfections, a mark underneath - close to one of the rubber feet. That I can live with thou as the return and delivery would have taken another 3 weeks. :-/

That’s what I did when I bought my 2015 MacBook Pro, unbox it in the Store, it will save you a lot of trouble.

I've had an issue like this before and Apple replaced it without a problem. I'd ordered from the online store so I had the choice of sending mine back and when they get it they'll send another or they send one right away while there's a hold on my credit card. Either way, just get it swapped out while you can if it at all bothers you.

I don't expect my new computer have out of the box any more dents and scratches than my new car, refrigerator or any other new gear with metal chassis. However that being said, I've seem similar issues lately with most of my new Apple gear more or less. I think my recent purchases only iPad and Apple Watch was cosmetically like new, my MBP had some marks on the bottom, my iPhone X had several dings on the steel rim where space gray color came off and so on... Buying these things have became from pleasant experience to total nightmare these days.

I did not bother exchange my MBP due to small marks since display was about tolerable and I knew it is a lottery with them, so I did not want to risk getting one with lousy display. However looks like battery is already more or less shot after just under 30 charge cycles, or battery run time numbers are hugely exaggerated...

I have only purchased a Mac Mini in the past year and it was perfect. My 2014 MacBook Pros and my iPhone 7+ and iPhone 6S models were perfect. My 2015 MacBook Pro 13 work-issued machine was perfect. I bought a used 2015 MacBook Pro 15 and it had dings and dents but it was used and I got it for a great price.

So when I hear of cosmetic issues in Apple gear, it bothers me. Because this has not been my experience at all.

Try something recently built laptop and other portable gear and you'll may be surprised. :D

I'll have a look around. I'm replacing the batteries on a couple of iPhones this afternoon so I can take a look at some of the stuff in the store. Of course it might be that they only choose perfect items for store demo units. I do think that we'd hear more about this if this were more common.

Don't bother, store demo units are always perfect. I've never seen a bad one.
I think most peoples just do not care.

I could be mistaken but aren't shops getting their demo units with stickers saying demo unit or similar? I mean I have occasionally seen photos of such products when some client has received one when buying from some place their products. Google for words like "iPhone demo not for resale". If all models are like that, I guess shops do not have to check their demo units, they are pre picked for demo use. ;)

Which problem did you notice and was it 2019 model mbp?

Which model is your mbp? 2018 or 2019? And what do you mean as mark on bottom? Scratch?
Mine has 2 problems you can see in the pictures a scuff and a scratch

One of the October 2019 Mac rumor YouTube guys made a note of how easily the current generation of MBPs is prone to scratching.

Mine is 2019 model. It has small marks on the bottom that looks a bit like someone tried to pry the bottom cover off with the screwdriver. Probably they reopened bottom plate at the factory for some reason and obviously they didn't use very sophisticated tools. Anyway since it is small mark on the bottom and I was pretty happy with the display (no blb and it is pretty even with very very slight hue difference between left/right side) I did not want to take a risk for exchanging the machine since there are many things that can be wrong on the replacement unit. Also this unit also has trackpad installed uneven and battery life sucks, but I have made my peace with that these "apples" are such a lottery and I'm not very lucky.

I looked at your photos and looks a bit like it has been slightly hit against something (I don't think it has been dropped. damages would be greater in that case) and maybe used too much force on the tb-connector. Seems getting more common, my iPhone has also all kinds of marks on the steel rim, so they seem to be handled pretty roughly at some point before sealing them in the retail box and/or QC is nonexistent. Anyway, if you are happy with the display and machine has no other faults, I would seriously consider keeping it and maybe ask some discount for the damages, unless you absolutely want to take your chances with another unit with possible other problems...

While it never hurts to ask, that's almost certainly not going to happen because unless you unboxed it before leaving the store, the employees can always pin the blame on you, and it would be your word against theirs.

Incidentally, the NOS 2018 MBP I just bought yesterday was perfect right out of the box.
