hello, I was interested in knowing whether Apple is still planning on changing the enclosure of the MBP when they upgrade the processor? I read something in the beginning of July saying when the Core 2 Duo comes out in the MBP Apple will redesign the enclosure, but since then, nothing new has been mentioned...does anybody know?

thanks

people can't seem to get that...

I used to work for Apple, I never knew a thing about their plans...it's a wonder how many people think rumor site members know something...

EDIT: Actually, I knew about the 20" iMac G4 the day before it was announced, but that was it.

not to be an instigator but then how would a "macrumors" forum be defined exactly?

They could rename it to "macmaybethiswillhappenbecausewewantittoreallyreallybad"

Dont u think that people come online as newbies thinking there is a wealth of knowledge on these forums...only to realise...slowly but surely...thats its full of mac addicts with so little to do that we make up rumors and then diss them together :)

let me rephrase, has this rumor about the new enclosures stuck its head out of the ground since the beginning of July? :D

I, for one, hope that Macbook Pros get a new enclosure soon.

I'm one of those people with "acidic skin" that causes the aluminum finish to stain over time.

Eventually, I'll be forced to buy the MBP regardless of enclosure since I need it. (And the dual-booting with it, for work purposes.) But I'm going to hold out as long as possible in hopes that I'll get a laptop without aluminum pitting problems.

That being said... CARBON FIBER MBPs at WWDC!

Carbon fiber would be so cool, I think some people may think it's tacky, but that's cause you see those kids sticking fake carbon fiber stickers on their cars, and have given it a bad name over the years, but a real carbon fiber enclosure would be awesome

I don't think that it will get an updaye to the enclosure in quite some time. It looks sleak and stylish; exactly how Apple want it to.
