I just got a new MBP yesterday with Mountain Lion pre installed. I can not find installesd.dmg in Mountain Lion. Does anyone know where it is located?

Sorry if this has been answered but I couldn't find it.

Thanks.

Its not there, because it gets deleted once the install completes.

----------

Try to re-download ML from the app store.

Open the app store
hold the option key down as you click on the purchases icon and if its there there may be an option to download it

I didn't download Mountain Lion. My new Mac came with it pre loaded. Is there another way to get it? I tried holding option before clicking purchases but it isn't there.

Adrift in a sea of possibilities
Why would you need it? If you're worried about doing a clean install . . . you HAVE a clean install. And if you ever need to do a clean install in the future, it's residing on your hard drive (re-boot, hold the option key during boot).

Yes?

^^ Agreed license agreement is such that the OS that comes with new macs is only for that Mac.

You want to install it on other Macs you need to buy it
