I have a Macbook 2.16 I bought yesterday. It seems to run about 55-60 degrees C when surfing and doing ichat and such. Seems high for a C2D?? Has anyone had a chance to see what temps these are running? Thanks

C2D MBP 2.16ghz : 57ºf
I'd say that's right in line and pretty dang sweet, considering how hot some of the CD Macbooks were

Yes I agree. My wife has a CD macbook pro and it gets warm to say the least. But she tends to over look that. What gets her attention more is the shadowing on the screen from uneven lighting.:)

My original Macbook CD runs 60 - 65 C just sitting around. So I think your temps are good.

mine is always around 25 C with adium, firefox, microsoft word, itunes...

How can you find the temperature? My MacBook is very hot on my lap, but I'm not sure how to get a temp reading. (Sticking an anal thermometer up the SuperDrive doesn't seem like the best option.)

thanks,
Doug

My MB runs about that temp. The bottom gets very warm to the touch, compared to a notebook like the Lenovo T series which barely gets warm. I guess it's the tradeoff of having a sleek looking notebook without vents and fans all over.
