Howdy y'all,
I just received my new MBP today. This is technically my second one (the first one was returned shortly after purchase due to some slow pricing issues).
Anywho, I've noticed on both the one I had and this new one, that there are a few keys that are slightly tilted (this time my ESC key and my EJECT key). Its nothing something noticable except for someone who admires every aspect of their new machine and would like to see how incredible everything is.
Now the thing is this. I've gone to the Apple store and looked at theirs and they all seem pretty much perfect. So I have several thoughts:
In-Store MBP are non customized and so they are "as-is." Mine is customized and so they had to swap out the HDD (I'm not sure how they are actually assembled).
Also, it may just be that the keyboards are slighty uneven. I've seen this in many MBPs.
Also, the way in which the keys are held up could easily have something to do with it.
All in all, I'm insanely picky, but I'm also incredible accepting of something that is natural (when you have a keyboard that thin to install, tiny imperfections do occur).
I was just wondering what you thought of this, or if you notice that not all the keys are perfect perfect perfect.
Am I OCD about this small thing? YES. But thats fine, I laid down money for a great product....I expect the best out of it!
