Hey all,

I broke down and bought a macbookpro!!!! here's a quick rundown of the specs

15 inch glossy screen (which looks absoutly amazing)
2.33GHz
3 Gigs of RAM
120 Gig harddrive
Superdrive DVD/CD burner

I'm really psyched about this notebook it's super sleek and sexy and I've already gotten compliments on it. I hope to be a very active member in this wonderful community!!

Might've been better to wait for WWDC for the expected update, but your going to love it. Regardless of how old the model is it's a solid solid laptop and you're gunna enjoy it thoroughly. Welcome :D

Yah I've heard all the hype about the new models but I don't really care. I'm sure I won't even use all the power that this machine as to offer. But I'll have fun trying!!

I would definitely wait. Apple usually ups few things for free, such as hard disk size, and faster CPU/GPU/SuperDrive. And both Santa Rosa and LED backlit LED (will be brighter to boot) will give you longer battery life, while running much cooler. As for not using all of its power, faster encoding, handling or large set of photos, music, video library will always benefit from faster computer.

I'm very content with my purchase....if there is a newer model released oh well....this computer is everything i wanted plus more!!

They update all the time, it's pretty impossible to keep up anyway. I got a Macbook C2D 2ghz in January, and they just came out with the upgraded ones.

ya they update too much... anyway awesome purchase i like the 2.33 GHZ and 3 gigs of ram i wish i could afford that, well ill have fun with my MB when i get one, ull have so much fun
