Hi I am just wondering when basically nothing is open why my cpu is running full bore. It says the process is quicklook server. Does anyone know what this is and why it is using up so much processing speed? This may be a dumb question but I just can't figure it out.

It might have hung on something (it is the thing responsible for the quicklook functionality). Might want to try force quitting it or restarting.

That process is responsible for the quicklook feature. While is cataloging everything it does eat up cycles but it stops after awhile. Not to worry.

I figured it out after lots of searching. I was using transmission to download torrents and supposedly it was responsible for throttling up the cpu. I closed transmission the quicklook server process ended and cpu went back to normal. Switched back to azereus and havn't has a problem since.
