I have move to predicted mailbox on beta 3 and also get the same message when I click it.
I am also seeing the null message when deleting certain messages. Annoying.

This is most likely a pre-implementation of the same feature from iOS...if you select move it now suggests a predicted mailbox (works surprisingly well, too!). Most likely coming to Apple Mail in a future version....

move to predicted mailbox remains greyed out in 10.12.1. Anyone see any workaround, or at least to have it's former (move to most recent folder) replace this? Cannot find anything in docs or online

weird that it's been there since the betas, and apple has not either enabled it, or removed it...

Same here. Grey'd out, not functional. Also removed the feature where you can automatically send an email to the same mailbox folder that you just sent a different email to. Updates are meant to help the users, no? lol. Having said that, I do love the predicted mailbox feature on iOs.

I am seeing this same "Move to Predicted Mailbox" functionality greyed out. And I am REALLY missing the previous folder option. I used that constantly.

i would think this would replace the 'previous folder' option, but maybe not ready yet? so, surprised it's there in the menu...

I suppose that is the goal. I hope it is functional soon. I would think it simply compares email addresses against available folders to make a recommendation, so for my use it will likely serve well.

Likewise. I used it all the time, too.

I never used the beta and am fairly certain it made it's appearance in 10.12.1. The "move this email to that folder you moved the others to" is vastly more important to my email workflow that 99% of the other Mail features. This seems to be a mistake on Apple's part and I'm sure they will address & fix in the next update, but is an unfortunate consequence of what happens when singleness of purpose (EMAIL) is lost while in pursuit of value adds - Featuritis as it's been called.

Featuritus is "fine," except when a new feature (predicted mail box would be nifty) is inserted to replace a heavily used and useful existing feature "move to the most recent mailbox you moved something else to".

That was in IOS as well, and is now gone.

Apparently Apple has hire some fools from Microsoft...

it's been working for a while (and in the current beta); recognizes a lot of my emails (not all of them, of course), and offers to move it to the 'correct' folder; somewhat useful (and better than not being there at all)...

This feature works flawlessly for me on both macOS Sierra and IOS 10.1.1.

Works brilliantly for any mail moved previous in Mail.app on OS X and, I think, in IOS. Very very useful - finally we have the feature that my Blackberry had! (yes, back in 2007-ish!).
