Hi, so before you jump all over me, I have already installed lab tick for the most common issue with keyboard lighting. :D

I am wanting to know if anyone has had any issues with some of their keys being dimmer than the rest. My D, F, C and V keys are noticeably dimmer than the rest, and the X key is kind of in the middle. I am soooooo pleased with this computer performance wise, and am trying not to be overly critical of it, but when my fiance commented that those keys looked dimmed I knew I wasn't going crazy. Has anyone else had this issue? Do you think I am being too picky or should I exchange it?

Thanks for your opinion.

Actually my whole keypad is brighter on the left side than right. Not enough to be annoying but not evenly lit. Only really shows up when brightness is maxed out.

Ok, I kind of figured it wasn't just mine, but I didn't know if a lot of others were seeing issues. The keys that aren't even on mine are very noticeable at every level. I tried to capture it in a picture, but it really didn't work. Thanks.

I think it has to do with the spacing between the keys and the housing and how the keys are positioned. Seriously though, I think this is ridiculous! :(

i don't know about the dim part but the pic you took makes the keyboard look really good. It's kinda off topic, but does the back light from the keyboard 'leak' messily from the sides of the keys like the Macbook pro or does it illuminate the edges of the keys evenly?

I think you are dead on with my specific situation. I started playing with the keys and if I push on them on one corner the light fills them in more evenly and they look like the rest. Kind of shoddy there, but its such a lovely machine otherwise :)

LOL, yeah, I dunno why I put that pic there, you can't see the issue with it at all. I must be that good of a picture taker :)

The light bleeds through the side quite a bit, especially at full blast, but if you keep it toned down its there but not in an annoying way.

The good side of the grass.
Yes, the light leaks through sides of keys and left > right but it really doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Everything can't be 100%.

No dead pixels, screen VERY bright & evenly backlit, no wobble, no dents/dings/scratches, doesn't show fingerprints, multi-touch way cool, magnetic latch - these are a few of my favorite things.....
