New MBP and running 24" screens

Hi,
I've got a Dell 24" flatscreen and I'm considering buying the new 2.4mbp 15" and running the Dell 24" screen off it. I'm mainly using it with Apple Logic Pro so I'm obviously looking for the dual-screen functionality but my question is:

Would the MBP be OK to run the 24" flat screen on the normal 1900x1200 resolution whilst running its own screen on the 1440x900 resolution at the same time?
