this happenned twice when i was calibrating my battery, and again at around 20%. i have not bled the mbp lower than those two instances, but it seems a little more than coincidence, yes? In fact the first time i calibrated, i could never get it to give me the 'low bat warning' (which i think its supposed to?) it just kept on getting the grey screen and restart dialogue.

is anyone else experiencing this? i just wanted to check, i will test it again when i have time.

This is not normal behavior, take it in to Apple and have it looked at. Although I've not actually heard of a battery charge issue causing a kernel panic it is possible that the battery needs to be replaced. Can you post the battery capacity (you can find it by clicking the Apple Menu/About this Mac/more info/power) You would be looking for the Full Charge Capacity number and the Remaining Charge Capacity number.

Sopranino

full charge capacity = 5582
remaining capcity = 5550

i don't know if this maters, but reading it it also also says under 'first low level warning' - no.
