Hi,

I'm a new macbook pro owner and also a newbie here.

Read a some posts on Santa Rosa processor and I wonder what's in my new MBP. How do i tell if mine is a Santa Rosa or not? :confused:

If it was the $1999 model at 2.2ghz.. you have a SR
 
As others have stated the SR MBPs have either a 2.2, 2.4, or the 2.6G CPU. Pre SR MBP (such as mine) will have either a 2.16 or 2.33G processor.

Thanks for the feedback, folks. Mine is a 2.2Ghz :D.
Other than the black spot on the screen, I would say that I'm very happy with my MBP.

Going to bring it back to the apple retails this tomorrow to complain. Hope they'll change the display panel for me.
