Hey guys. I got a new 15" MBP on the 10th of sept. Everything was great for the first week but today i got home from school and the computer is sluggish and laggy. For example: When I watch a movie on Youtube, the picture freezes and then goes again. This happens every maybe five seconds. Also lets say i take the cursor and move it across the dock, the dock take a while to respnd to my mouse movement. Or the dock lags when i go from the dock back to a program. Or if I try to scroll on a page it lags and stops moving for a little.

Please if you have any advice besides a fresh install that would be great. I love this computer and dont want to have to take it back to Apple. Even right now when I am typing the computer will sort of freeze when I'm in the middle of a word and then finish it after it stops freezing. It's like the computer cant keep up with my typing. Please Help Me. Thanks.

I think I found the problem. I think my computer was trying to connect to my wireless network and that was running in the background trying to connect to my ****** netgear router which I will be replacing soon... (Maybe a new Airport Extreme +100 dollars off). Can someone tell me if this could have been the problem. I also shut down the computer once, took out the RAM sticks, and put them back in. Everything is running smooth now. Maybe it was just a hiccup.

it's normal that your machine gets slow if it is connected wirelessly to a unstable network, as it'll keep trying over and over to connect, it happens to mine on unstable wireless network. basically everything network related can get your mac to freeze if unstable.
