Since the newly updated MacBook Pro's I decided to indulge myself in one of these babies. I am just going to go for the low end 15". But the only part i cant decide is whether to get the Matte finish or the Glossy finish. Im a freelance graphic designer and i do some video editing. On apple website it says the glossy brings out the colors much better, but i always see everyone saying Matte is better. WHY!? which would you recommend?

:apple:

matte all the way! NO GLARE!
If your only going to work in a dark room with no lights, then get the glossy

the gloss makes colors look sharper than they really are, so if you're doing video or graphics, you should get matte.

Can anyone give any more insight on the two. This is what is holding me back right now anyone?????

The colors on any 6-bit lcd panel aren't exactly wonderful when you compare to a cinema display or other high end desktop display. I prefer the glossy, but that's a personal issue. If I were you, I'd take some pictures into an Apple store and open them up on both types of screens and decide based on which you like better.

matte

i'm a video editor and i've always heard that matte is a more realistic view of what your audience will see on tv...

i just purchased the low-end 15-inch mbp this morning!! (matte)
