Well, not new, I've been a member for a couple years when I got my iPod Touch but haven't been on until I started sitting here in the waiting rooms here with you guys ;)

I have been getting the Sony Readers since the PRS-500 was introduced an worked my way up to a PRS-900 which I am in the process of selling to help fund the iPad purchase next week.

I wasn't going to get one at first, I was happy with E-ink and felt the backlit display would strain my eyes. Then I realized I stare at a screen all day at work and then maybe an hour at home and they never feel strained.

Then I was concerned about moving my Sony DRMed books that I paid for until I found out how to remove it :D Now that they are free, I can easily transfer books I paid for to another device....IE iPad.

I was originally going to go with the 16 gig Wifi. Then I changed my mind and bumped it to 32gb for the extra $100. I have been battling in my brain whether to just to the 64 jump or not....but the price is just too high when I add in the accessories I plan to purchase. I figure I don't put my entire music colection on my Sony readers.....why would I need to do it for the iPad when I have a 64 gb Touch that holds them all there?

I assume the book files are small, the apps are pretty small as well, the rest would be favorite music titles and some movies which I am hoping I could fit plenty on the 32 gb.....can't I?

Thats where the dilemma comes in.

So thanks for letting me rant and share....I plan to be sticking around here.....you all seem like a great support group :p

You could just store the music collection on your iPod Touch, there's no reason to put it on the iPad. You can use both iPad and iPod touch at same time.

All I could muster up for was a 16GB WiFi. I'm planning to have one movie at a time (2.5GB), just sync another when I feel like watching it coming home from school. For everything else, should have enough space.

well you know, i dont really think ill be putting movies on mine, and just use my iphone for music.

so the battle for you sir should be just between the 16 or 32.

now the 32 is if you will be storing many documents, games, apps, etc.

if not, go ahead and get yourself the 16.

Definitely games, apps, docs, and videos and the debate was the music....Im strongly teetering at staying at 32. I plan on using this as my mobile computing device when not using my laptop.

Hmm not related but your username is very very familiar to me from somewhere, are you the G-Shock guy? haha

well just letting you know, if you didnt. you WILL be allowed to save from pages/keynote on this.

i mean the iPad is great, alot better than carrying around my 5.5lb macbook pro in my backpack. if the screen keyboard is sour to your taste, cop you a keyboard for paddy (my name for it :D)

32 is my goal too. not too big, not too small. i think 32 will be the highest selling one.
