For some reason whenever I start a new iMessage the default method is to the recipient's email rather than their phone number. I have my default method set on my phone to go from my phone number, but it still defaults every time to their email. Is there a fix for this?

By any chance are the people you are sending messages to on T-Mobile? Seems like some were having issues with this.

15.4.1 broke iMessage
Installed 15.4.1.... no more iMessage from my phone number. Pops up a message that says "activation unsuccessful" "turn on iMessage to try again". Tried force reset, turn iMessage on and off, turn FaceTime on and off... no luck. Just green SMS messaging.
