I bought a new Mac mini about 2 months ago. Everything seemed to work fine for 3-4 weeks but now all of a sudden I am having real slow WiFi reception with the mini. It started as just slowness and then today it wouldn't even connect to my network. I did all the usual rebooting, turning off, turning back on, etc. But nothing helped. I then took the mini and connected it directly into my LinkSys router and it seems to be working fine now. I also took my old SL mini and put it in the very exact place the new mini was and it seems to be working fine with WiFi. For the life of me I can't figure out why the new mini just all of a sudden started having connectivity problems. Is this possibly a Lion problem? Now one thing I did do, over the last week I must have installed several times Google Drive and Microsoft SkyDrive just trying them out. I can't imagine doing this would cause the issues I'm having though. Any suggestions on how to see what the problem is? Or is the new mini just more picky as far as WiFi connections? Thanks.

Just started having the same probs with my 2010 mac-mini. Working okay til last night, now it keeps disconnecting on wi-fi, then says "no wi-fi detected".
My Macbook Pro connects straight away.

mac mini problems

I got my Mac Mini on the first of May to replace a mac mini that replaced another mac mini. Thank God I got the apple care protection plan as apple paid for all of it. These products have become cheap chinese crap.
I have the first flat panel iMac bought in the beginning of 2000 running 10.4 and its slow but it works and no parts have been replaced. Apple will go the way of Mitsubishi and Sony if they insist on building these products in China and buying chinese parts.
I bought another AppleCare plan for this one. LION sucks...big time.
No real advantages over Snow Leopard...mail has tiny, tiny b & w icons and the scroll bar is as thin as a pencil line. I think someone is sabatoging Apple from inside.:(

That sucks that you're all having issues. My 2011 mini that I bought last year is not having these issues. You may want to have a genius check it out as you're still covered for the first year. Hopefully it's something that's easily fixed.

And about the small scroll bars, they made them like after the magic mouse and trackpad made them almost irrelevant to use manually, only being present as a guide to show far you've scrolled.
