has anyone found out if the new Mini only supports Windows 7, or if it will support XP or Vista?

I am wondering if the one with the ATI card will support all or at least Vista?

What? You mean it won't support the upcoming Windows 8, 9, 10 . . .?

No he is asking if the new minis can run windows xp and vista, and I don't see why they wouldn't. Vista wasn't really accepted, but XP is still used widely in the US by many large companies.

Really nobody has one of the new minis yet cause they are not available till tomorrow at retail (today is online only from what I have read). So until then we won't know for sure. I wouldn't put any money down, but I think that XP should work fine on the new minis. If your worried then just play it safe and wait, or buy one if the last generation Mac Minis.

Bootcamp 3.1 only supports Windows 7 I believe

for sure windows XP support on boot camp has been stopped. I don't know anything about Vista but I have never heard of Vista Support.

What is known is that Bootcamp does run Windows 7.

I have Windows 7 using Bootcamp and XP Pro using VMware Fusion 2 on my 2009 2.26Ghz 4GB Mac Mini. If you want XP or Vista just use that or Parallels .

Note on VM Ware, Parallels, and virtual machining in general.

I virtual machine its great, but make sure to have at least 4GB of RAM, if you want to run crazy things on your mac and windows at the same time, or run multiple OS's at the same time i recommend you get 8GB of RAM.

Just a friendly reminder, this is the only time 8GB RAM is not over kill!
