Evening all, not long ago I picked up a "new" Mac Mini i5 4gb 500gb radeon hd I'm sure you all know the rest. I'm debating returning it as its unopened and well within my 30 day return window for the new model priced at $799 but the Intel HD Graphics 4000 really kills it for me despite the upgrade to quad core processors and 1tb hard disk with USB 3.0

The other thing making me lean towards returning it for the new model is my local Apple store has said they're not aware of any price drops happening on remaining stock of the older model, same price for less machine? doesn't make a whole lot of sense or sit well with me. I'm only going to be using it for general purpose tasks such as email web surfing and very very light gaming I realize that graphics chips aside for what I just mentioned your average person is highly unlikely to see any performance difference between the dual & quad core models but its just the principle of the matter. :(

I apologize in advance for any eyes bleeding, increase blood pressure & loss of will to live cause by my horrible english skills, I'm a tech not an english major :D

I'd take it back and make it a new one.

But really, you'll just have to decide between the graphics for gaming or the CPU for everything else.

return it and buy a used one off ebay or craigslist if you really want the 2011 model . it goes for 600 or so at the moment. just make sure it still have apple warranty, if you worry about any issue may come up, and slap on an apple care package on it for about 100 or so.
There is no reason to pay extra for last gen product.
